A Brief History

Founded in late 2003 by the Kidd brothers, Blue and John, InvestorVillage originally operated as a private stock discussion community under the name "BuyB4theRush." Two years later, Hurricane Katrina surprised the country and caused Blue to relocate from New Orleans to Atlanta, where his brother John lives. This twist of fate led to John's decision to quit his executive-level day job and partner with Blue to launch InvestorVillage as a full-time, free stock discussion forum open to the investing public.

The response since then has been nothing short of phenomenal. Today InvestorVillage is home to investors from all 50 states and over 30 countries around the world. With content from trusted partners like PR Newswire, QuoteMedia, InvestorWords and TradersLibrary, we've got just what you need!
