There had been quite a few people discussing the short position. It seems to me they should be covering at these levels. While I labored through my previous posts (I can't type) a thought occurred to me.
The shorts have two things going for them.
1.My original thought - Time is on their side at least in the short term as no news is likely for a while.
2. This one is not too pleasant - they are waiting for the news of the demise of the Transformational Deal.
I hope the market has already discounted the TD demise. I thought Ray was pretty clear that that deal was probably gone. But bad news there is the only reason I can see for shorts hanging on here other than the anticipated news vacuum.
