CLSN - I've been extremely lucky through August. The luck seems to be holding today as I was able to buy back 80% of the CLSN Aug $4 CCs I sold for only a nickel before the price moved up. Sold some of my Aug $3 calls on a limit order. The rest will be exercised on Monday to get my stock position back to target.
TIVO - All the talk of Apple TV on CNBC has got me back on the "Google should buy Tivo" bandwagon. Picked up a large number of cheap OTM TIVO Nov 11 calls @0.24. Tivo's boxes are now effectively set top boxes with extra compute and storage resources on board. Although Google probably does not want to add PVR hardware to its product mix, the installed base for TIVO is exactly the kind of subscription/consumption oriented demographic they need to compete with Apple. Tivoalready has agreements in place with DirecTV, Comcast and other carriers. One further argument would be Google's recent announcement that it plans to cut Motorola Mobility by 20%. This signals to me that they are largely done digesting this acquisition and are ready to do the next big one. This is all just a hunch on my part. It may never pan out but the chart here looks promising on it own right. A a more conservative investor might want to wait for the pps to close above 9.24 to signal a buy.
