Looking for bargains

A few months ago, after having read an article about their potential health benefits, the wife and I decided to start eating 1-3 prunes per day [and no, we are not constipated!]  We tend to eat a fairly healthy mostly vegetarian diet and since three prunes equals three plums, which is quite a lot, we decided to opt for the Paul Newman organic prunes.  At the local health food store 12 ounces costs something over $6 which is pretty expensive.  I found the exact product on Amazon in six packs for $25.88 or just over $4 per bag.  That is a huge percentage savings, and the product comes via free shipping with no sales tax.  It has now become worth the trouble of searching on line for some simple grocery store items.  When purchased in bulk combined with free shipping and no sales tax, the savings can be significant.  Amazon even has organic beans and a variety of grocery items that are sold by the 12 pack and which qualify for free shipping.  It is always nice when my purchases are bought on line and are dropped off at the door.
