I'm diddling more than I should be with my funds at this age.....going on 68. Probably should be in an annuity and putting and end to this wondering if my oil play stuff will ever work out.
But, since I've been doing it for 40+ years, I persist. Really hate the idea of paying someone to handle these things.
Have 20 stocks, mostly oil trust types, but some, lately, of the speculative sort. PRY, CR, BXE
My favorite the last seven years is MVO. It's a solid mid contintent outfit, a trust paying 9%; Got into it in the low teens and held a core this many years while doing some trading..
Unbelievably for me I sold that core (41) this first quarter on a bet I could get it all back .....at mid 30's. That didn't happen this time, so held the cash.
Happening now. MVO got down to 35. Started buying this back. It's a lovely stock..
