Re: Miles off-topic......... Harper has Nackered The Nation

Windsurfer12,

I still enjoy reading this BB, it lets me know that good honest sane people still exist and are willing to speak up on issues.

I suspect the markets will remain low volume and declining till mid October that is when they should figure out who the next President will be.

If Obama wins we may see 4 more years similar to the last 2.

If Romney wins the economy will take off, more tax breaks and lower taxes for the rich and wealthy and the middle class, seniors and lower working class will take some nasty medicine to make up for the free loaders at the top.

Meanwhile Canada will have a new PQ gov't in Quebec to turn the screws on the rest of Canada with threats of leaving unless we cough up more $$$.

As a retiree needing my investments to survive on I am leaning to Romney. That is purely selfish on my part, from an ideological point of view I would vote for Obama. But when you need to survive numerous Doctors appointment's and procedures, this wannabe snow bird stays home like a Ptarmigan,

McSquinty will fumble Ontario into the NDP or CONS hands. And I smell more 407 like tolls coming for all the 400 series roads. Plus loads of user fees at hospitals, libraries, license bureaus etc. Loonie and toonie you to death.

So we will stay put, invest and slowly fade into the twilight zone of our golden rusty years, with just the occasional squawk, Ptarmigans to squawk don't they?
