William Tai, Charles River Ventures our Friends Intellectual Ventures and Novafora Oh thats just great !!


"On August 20, 2008, William P. Tai informed the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Transmeta Corporation, a Delaware corporation ("Transmeta" or the "Company") that he plans to retire from the Board later this year, after more than 12 years of service, in order that he can fulfill certain expected new commitments at Charles River Ventures, a venture capital firm. "

If you look under software and services our "friends" Intellectual Ventures crops up.

So the current venture capital boys who are shareholders in TMTA plan to aquire the IP on the cheap.

There has to be so many good stories re greed, deception for both the press and SEC here.

GREAT FIND sun! As I said in my earlier post copied below, look for a connection between the BOD and the buyers. I think you found a good one.

"Collusion between the BOD and the buyers? Self-dealing of the BOD, rather than performing their fiduciary duties to the stockholders?"

I'd like to point out that Zaki Rakib is listed as the CEO signature on the escrow papers

for INTELLECTUAL VENTURE FUNDING LLC - and while the name is VERY similar to Intellectual Ventures

of which Nathan Myhrvold IS the CEO - they appear to be two different companies -

Still, questions remain: why create a separate funding vehicle (INTELLECTUAL VENTURE FUNDING LLC) as well as create a 'merger sub' Transformer Acquisition LLC to roll-up the IP portfolio into after the transaction

Is there a REAL connection between INTELLECTUAL VENTURE FUNDING LLC & Intellectual Ventures

William Tai moving to CRV full time & having been involved in the IPO for Terayon is very interesting.

Also looking at the Charles River site they show Intellectual Ventures as a 'current project' & they list Izhar Armony as the lead person for CRV on this 'project'. On his bio page they list his area of 'interest' as 'Intellectual property' and say he has been the VP Marketing for Onyx Interactive, a computer-based training company in Israel & was a Captain in the Israeli Army. (http://www.crv.com/team/izhar_armony) Where are the venture capital firms that funded Novafora located? Coincidence?

Even if the Intellectual Ventures turns out to not be directly involved here it sure could have been the INSPIRATION for the Rakib brothers - that in and of itself says much -

I think the reasoning for the Subs is not the name, but what trails the name "LLC". They know they are going to get sued and when they lose, they wanted it to be limited to the LLC's only.

If and when the sharehodlers get their justice, it will limit the reward, and will not allow TMTA shareholders tow own Charles River.

You see LLC in the northeast alot on different rental units of property.

All my opinion.
