Weird, or what? This whole AGM Circular/ proxy process seems a little strange this year. We, the She Devil and I, hold shares in 7 accounts. She has 3, and I have 4. These accounts have been static for about 6 months. No trades at all. No transactions. She has 2 different SDRRSP’s and 1 TFSA. I have 2 different SDRRSP’s, a TFSA, and a cash account. 1 of her SDRRSP’s and the TFSA share an account number with a different suffix letter. The other SDRRSP is a separate account number altogether. She got 1 package, with both the SDRRSP’s in the same envelope, but not the TFSA stuff which is the same account number as 1 of the SDRRSP’s. I found that strange. I got 2 (of 4) packages, which are different account numbers, with only 1 proxy form in each. Now, 1 of my SDRRSP’s, and the TFSA, and the cash account are the same account number with only a different suffix. You would think in the interest of postal efficiency, they would mail all 3 proxy forms together, yet I was missing 2 of them, and they have the same account number (other than suffix) as 1 that I got. Missing were BOTH of our TFSA accounts, and my cash account. I phoned TD Waterhouse, and 24 hours later (after some confusion) I got the control numbers via phone. Now it gets even weirder…. The first 4 forms (which came in 3 packages) each had a 12 digit control number. All 4 of those numbers started with 770. When I got the remaining 3 12 digit control numbers today (over the phone) all 3 started with 979. Almost seems as if somebody had to scramble to provide a whole new set of numbers in a whole new series? Many have reported missing accounts, partial accounts, and such. Some have received nothing at all. A buddy has only 2 of 8 accounts so far. WTF?
