You want to talk science and facts and openness to any and all discussions when your weather guy is left out of academic circles for lack of rigor, but when rigorous work shows up you cry environmentalist?
You posted something that is false again. You wrote the "weather guy is left out of academic circles for lack of rigor." That is actually a laughable statement. Practically everyone is left out of academic circles but not for lack of rigor but because they are not academics. That does not mean that they are uneducated, don't have appropriate education or training or are not rigorous. Just that their jobs and life don't lead that way. The weather guy as you call him runs a website that has articles/blogs from a lot of different authors some are peer reviewed. Recently, he had decided to publish a peer reviewed article on measurement bias and began by posting his article on his blog to get pre-reviewed by people on the internet. Some of the reviewers on the website have a large body of work that is in fact peer reviewed articles. That helped in the review. After he rewrites the article, perhaps he will in fact attempt to publish and may be able to get it published. We will see.
