From ASMSome random notes made during the presentation. Most of AT’s presentation was about products and features we already knew about, so no biggies for you MVIS geeks. NOTEI I am not a steno, so be flexible... Overall, very positive, I thought. Alex very upbeat and positive. Room packed—for once—and Slade Gorton acknowledged big turnout. From AT’s presentation: SHOW shipping initial volumes within weeks. They intend to do their own, through stores, or with re-branding via OEMS. He spent a fair amount of time detailing SHOW vs competition. Laptop makers like MVIS because the projection displays 8pt type in a document and no competitor can. From Q and A: --Will need to raise more $ beyond this offering. Quite clear about this (I thought ) --OSRAM and Corning NOT YET at high volume. But in 2010 “Tens of thousands” per month. He talked about them at some length and seemed very comfortable with their relation and production. --A small cell phone board—which cell phone makers need—will be ready in DEC as part of the embedded device. MVIS is providing this. --Large carriers have included MVIS in their future plans—a sign of acceptance and trust, --“Multiple generations of laptops” now have been tested with SHOW to make them compatible out of the box. Just plug it in. --HUD. They have given the makers the tools they need and just going to let them proceed. Oh, and they have figured out how to retrofit it onto older cars. --Eyewear maybe in 2011. it has to “be cool” and I believe
he indicated they have engineered getting the display into glasses. --ROV: Moribund. Looking for a distributor to take up. Great learning tool. More as I recall it…Ask Q if you want… --Shuksan
