Any meme with a figure in the billions in it is going to be hard to kill.  Other folks are still parroting this number too.  It's not just the Post or Bloomberg.  Caleb Garling said it in his coverage of the trial and another blogger who was explaining APIs and what is and isn't protectable by copyright also emitted this error.

 

Let's just wait for the real/good news that Oracle has won a huge legal bill, a nasty PR black eye and nothing else.
