NDS have been accused in the past of reverse-engineering rivals' smartcards and then deliberately leaking their activation codes onto the internet.  Purpose being to damage those rivals' revenue stream, and to let BSkyB to gain an unfair advantage.

 

Here's some probable good news: Murdoch Snr + Jnr will appear at the Leveson Inquiry next week where they will be questioned on the practices of the News Corp controlled British newspapers. I expect some very lengthy pregnant silences from them both whilst they figure out how to give the glibbest and most non-incriminating answers (under oath) to the questions they will receive. It should be fun!
