Assuming everything said is true...The shale oil etc is there...Who stands to benefit?...WHO is the Russian politician system going to reward...the property owners?...are the truck drivers going to be paid $100k a year and keep the trucks running?...The kid that keeps the directional drill in the formation 24/7 and get paid $1000/day...any Harold Hamms over there?...Bud Brigham?...Earle P's...or will the Putins...the Russian Billionaires...or the system's corruption suck all the profits up?...How does anyone make money on shale oil today in Russia...with oil at $100bbl?
The NA oil patch is a special place...lots of technology/expertise...10,000's of serious dedicated capable individuals...billions and billions of risk capital out there working..the people are working to get the job done...to make a buck...and keeping everything moving...and if they get lucky...the sky's the limit...Don't take what we got here for granted...IMO, You have just as good a chance to duplicate/replicate Silicon Valley or Hollywood in Russia as the NA oil patch...
Are there any of you oil patch guys out there that think the Russians can pull it off in an efficient/profitable manner?...Any of you Canadians...where, like Siberia, the snow flies and the ground melts... think they can do it?...at $100/bbl...
NO offense to anyone intended...but, come back after Russia operates under the rule of law for 50 years...where private property, foreign or domestic is protected...then you can start addressing the other problems...
