MARKET TALK: IPad Mini in Production -Jefferies

10:08 EDT - Jefferies' channel checks and July sales data in Taiwan indicate that iPad output for this quarter and next will be much higher than the investment bank anticipated. To Jefferies, that means the long-rumored iPad Mini is in production and liable to be unveiled Sept. 12 along with iPhone 5. Less likely that day is any news about iTV, says Jefferies, though it thinks whatever Apple (AAPL) has in the works for that space "is in full production." All told, the investment bank is adding $100 to its price target, putting it at $900. AAPL rises 1.1% to $643.35, earlier hitting a record high, and putting the past 3 weeks' gain at some 7.5%.
