Look at the $1,000 line. See that plus sign at 360? 1.75 ^ 360 is 630. There are no SB-e Romley's that high at any price. Thee is only those two at 470 and 485 and both have worse FP rate/$ scores. Besides this uses FPrate_base which heavily favors Intel due to the Intel compiler using internal option settings instead of explicit ones. This should compare FPrate_peak which is the fair comparison. BTW that is 403 for the Opteron 6282E at 2.6GHz and 509 for the Xeon E5-2690 at 2.9GHz.. Doesn't look good that it costs 110% more for only 25% more performance. And in real world scenarios where the Intel compiler can't do its tricks, its even less of a gap to being the other way around. Also they missed IBM's Power 7 which got 597 in Spec FPrate_peak. for a 2 socket server which is almost as big a gap ahead of the SB-Es.
