VVUS vs ARNA

A few thoughts on the differences between Lorqess and Qnexa: the chemical profiles of these two drugs are vastly different, yet oddly typify the investment attitude. From my limited understanding, one of the components of Qnexa is a form of speed very similar to the smoking cessation aid Chantix. I took Chantix once to help me quit smoking and it made me very aggressive. My heart beat a lot faster, I got very edgy towards my wife, I had thoughts of suicide (which I never have), my thoughts were scattered, and I had to quit the drug after a couple of days. It is a form of methemphetamine in the same class of drugs as ridilan (sp?), which is equally as scary. One of my nieces is on that drug and I took one once to see what it was like. It felt like I was on speed. Not a good feeling. I cannot believe that drug is being prescribed to children. Lorqess, on the other hand, is a serotonin receptor agonist. This class of drugs works on parts of the brain that make us feel more sedated and calm. When I think of drugs that work on serotinin receptors I think of Gaba, Theanine, melatonin, and agents that make one want to sleep and feel better. I also took Xanax at one point to help me quit smoking, which helped a lot more. I was able to quit for a couple months and the Xanax balanced me out and made me calm. I am not saying Lorqess is similar to Xanax, but I believe (without personal experience) that Lorqess would be more of a sedating downer, rather than an upper. Lorqess, in my opinion, sounds like a much safer option that would not only help people lose more weight, but also be better for emotions and peace of mind. Also, a lot of obese people have heart problems and something that increases heart rate sounds like a bad idea.
Now, what is strikingly odd to me is the investment communities attitudes towards these drugs. The proponents of Qnexa (fstein and others) seem to carry a speed freaks aggressiveness. It reminds me of the Nazis who gave speed to their troops. Instead of actual speed, the pharmaceutical industry now has all of these derivatives of speed that are just as scary; it is legalized speed in my opinion. On the contrary, Lorqess investors are calmer and more logical of the facts, but they are being stomped on by the speed freaks. In my opinion the two drugs are like speed versus marijuana. The latter is so much better. Again all in my opinion, but I choose lorqess and hope that one day I can try it to help me quit smoking. Lastly, I think that lorqess would work really well with other holistic herbs that target the gaba receptors and help serotonin regulation ie. 5htp, gaba, theanine, and others.
