Re: Adding non-italic text within italicised textYou could be seeing conflicts with how the rich text editor implements italics. Instead of surrounding text with <i>italic</i> tags, it uses <em> tags (emphasis). If you copy in text with real <i> tags any attempt to override might be in conflict. Take a look next time by clicking on the "HTML" button. It looks confusing but isn't impossible for ordinary people to master.
