Re: An interesting bit of information - PinewoodsBear
**This does not change my views about having a diverse portfolio with dividend paying stock.**
I know, unlike you and others, I listened to you and others and diversified my portfolio and in the process exchanged $4,100,000 in Apple profits for $500,000 in various dividend players.
While $500,000 of Apple profits invested in dividend plays is a much smaller portion of my account than Apple, I'm diversified.
Even as those diversified stocks are well in the green, a fellow would do a lot better in one, or two stocks with good fundamentals. If you are investing on fundamentals, even the tech stock will give plenty of warning, before it crashes and burns.
I knew RIMM was toast, when Apple released the iPhone, however, it still went up at the time and took nearly five years to crash and burn. Many here and elsewhere support MSFT although it stopped growing a decade ago.
I've paid my dues and freely share with those here, who would benefit if they are so inclined.
