About 30 years ago I was running a profit center for an IT enterprise that you all know. The Director of Competitive Studies came into my office, and took me into his office. He pointed to his new Apple II., and said, "this little feller is gonna put you out of business". He was right.
But that was 30 years ago. Today, IMO, AAPL has a big target on its back . Google, Microsoft, Samsung...all want a big slice Apple's business. Investing or speculating. It's all risk / reward. Do the potential rewards in AAPL outweigh the risks? I don't know.
Did my Mall walk this AM. The JC Penney store was open but the lights were off. I never saw that before. I like to shop at Penney's. I get my underwear there, and since speculating in biotech, I've needed lots of new underwear.
But I think you should be beware of buying JCP as an investment Something is very wrong there.
