"the amount of danger they face"  It'll be practically nil if Byrne just stays away from seedy bars in the bad sections of New York City and both of them avoid men in Armani suits--especially those that have one shoulder cut a little baggier than the other.

 

The fact that these two clowns would lead you to think they are in great danger, and quietly accept your praise for same, is as telling as to their character as anything else one could imagine.  Byrne's biggest real danger is that some of the politicians he tries to buy won't stay bought.  Well, that and employing some of the people with whom he surrounds himself.
