I can't think of a better way to start my Independence Day celebration than to receive a call from Mr. & Mrs. Tower.
They received your very touching notes and monetary gifts. Mrs. Tower read them all to me. Most of the names I recognized...some I didn't. She was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from people she has never met. As Mrs. Tower read the notes, she was crying and I was crying.
Some of the notes mentioned that they heard of Mr. Tower's plight from me thru the "DNDN IV board". Mrs. Tower tried to find this message board on the Internet but couldn't. I have sent her a link and instructions. If she can figure it out, I am sure she will post her own thank you.
Mr. Tower is feeling much better today and even sounds chipper on the phone. They celebrated their son's birthday last night. So, today they are going to relax and enjoy the fireworks over the lake from their living room window.
Once again, a BIG THANK YOU to all who took the time to help someone in need. The kindness of strangers never ceases to amaze me.
Last but certainly not least, "Happy Independence Day and THANK YOU for your service" to all military men, women and families.
